We all want to stretch out budgets as much as possible and the Provincial Government of P.E.I. is there to help.
efficiencyPEI offers programs and information for Islanders who want to reduce energy consumption. The rebates apply to people who are building a new home or simply planning upgrades to their existing home.
In particular, efficiencyPEI offers what are called “Energy Efficient Appliance Rebates”. These rebates are applied in-store at participating retailers, including Mr. Plumber! There’s no need to submit an application and the rebates are available year round.
What rebates are there?
If you’re looking for a washroom renovation, these rebates are the perfect way to save a bit of cash. Toilets are about 30 per cent of residential water consumption. If you buy a WaterSense® certified toilet, it saves about 40-thousand litres of water per year.
To qualify for the 75-dollar rebate on the toilets, the appliance must be:
- WaterSense® Certified
- Have a MaP Flush Performance Score of 1000g or more.
The provincial government provides of a list of all qualifying toilets, but Mr. Plumber can make it one step easier! All of our in-store toilets meet or exceed the MaP Flush Performance score.
What else can I save on?
efficiencyPEI offers a few other rebates, as well, that are not point-of-sale, but can apply to a home renovation project.
These include:
- $1,200 off heat pumps
- $500 off boilers
- $500 off indirect hot water heaters
